Pitch: Kevin Dorsey, is your typical out of work LA actor, barely eking
out a living working as a cashier at “Maxwell’s,” a posh, Beverly Hills dress boutique for the rich and
their most famous client happens to be the current “it” girl, Sarah Fleming, an actress from south Africa. Kevin’s
roommate and best friend, Lyle, isn’t any better off. As a junior agent at a prestigious Wilshire blvd. agency, Lyle
has 30 days to sign at least one actor who is bringing in money or he’s out of a job. After seeing several good roles
go to foreign actors, and in light of Lyle’s own career predicament, Kevin decides to completely reinvent himself as
a rugged South African actor, “Duncan Mueller.” Lyle helps Kevin learn South African euphemisms like saying hello,
which is “Howzit,” outfits him in safari clothes and soaks him in all that is South Africa. In no time at
all, the buzz around this new actor has ballooned and before long “Duncan” has been cast in a big movie starring
opposite of a real South African movie star – Sarah Fleming. Kevin must pull off the ruse for both his and Lyle’s
sake, but worst of all, he must deceive Sarah, whom he fell in love with as a cashier at Maxwell’s. When Sarah’s
nymphoid publicist, Angela, figures out that Duncan and Kevin are one and the same, she decides to get back at him for rebuffing
her advances and “the fit” as they say “is about to hit the shan”!
